BTW, Pierz is east of Little Falls, and Buckman is 5 miles south of Pierz on Hiway 25.
Thanks for commenting!
☺Marlys Hesch Sebaskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12228387908550622919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4016824573429623247.post-54364127550296273402011-04-05T13:49:33.879-05:002011-04-05T13:49:33.879-05:00Me again - also from Austria was my great grandmot...Me again - also from Austria was my great grandmother, whose maiden name was Pogatchnik. Her family settled in the same area...Albany or Melrose maybe...when she was only a year old. She grew up and married there (a Kalkman), who owned the Melrose general store, and later moved to St. Cloud. Those would've been interesting settlements back in the day...

So...please tell me, where was/is Buckman?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05246661245845728004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4016824573429623247.post-16407259434010430062011-04-05T13:42:59.728-05:002011-04-05T13:42:59.728-05:00I grew up in St. Cloud in the 50's and 60'...I grew up in St. Cloud in the 50's and 60's and loved running across your post. Also, the Hesch name sounds terribly familiar to me...but I'd have to ask the rest of my family what the connection is. My last name was Kalkman. My great uncle Ed and, for a time, Joe, each lived in/by St. Joe...the others were closer to Melrose :~)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05246661245845728004noreply@blogger.com
