A cool article in the Strand Magazine, 1899

"For sixty years (1891-1950) The Strand Magazine was a popular source for the best in fiction, featuring the works of some of the greatest authors of the 20^th century including Graham Greene, Agatha Christie, Rudyard Kipling, G.K.Chesterton, Leo Tolstoy, Georges Simenon and, of course, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle".


Internet Archive.com has quite a few issues of the Strand, digitized online, mostly from 1893 and 1899 for some reason.  This article is from April, 1899.  "A collision between two powerful railway locomotives"--wow!  I'd love to see that!

Wouldn't that be COOL?
