These news articles were definitely not filler when they were printed--in 1918, it was good to know what a serviceman's rank meant; the Cold Spring dam had been a source of contention for years by 1921; and remember "Electricity is penny cheap from NSP to you!" This almost had to be the forerunner of that jingle ☺
Oh, and this cartoon would have been familiar to our relatives: he was featured in ads in 1916 or so--his name was Fuller Pep.You're WELCOME! ☺
