It's such an strange feeling to say goodbye to a cousin, even one I rarely saw once we were both adults. Carol was Math & Eileen's older daughter, born 10 years before I was. She and her sister Bev were "the big girls".
When she was a young bride living on the edge of Bay Lake, I spent a couple weeks there one summer, to be company for Carol & Dave's foster daughter. We played a lot of Black Jack that summer. I was 13, so wow, she was only 23.
Carol lived in Crosby, Mn. She had chronic health problems in the last 25 years or so, and passed away in the nursing home there. There'll be a memorial service sometime later according to Aunt Eileen.
