I was looking for Grandpa Anton's brother John (and his family) in the 1920 Census, specifically, daughter Laura:
They're at the bottom of the page--ah, yes, there's Laura, born in North Dakota in 1910.
But.....theres a list of single names on the page there. The first one is "Head", the others are "Member"?
Sure, that's the convent. This Hesch family lived in town, and the convent would have been near the store.... But look! Between the convent and Heschs were the John Naber family. He was my mothers' cousin, and there's her widowed grandmother, Elizabeth.
This picture was taken about 1922, in Buckman. The brick house was kitty-corner from the church, and north of the convent. (That's mom, third from the right).
OK, so back to the REASON I was looking at the census in the first place:

Sue sent a picture of Laura Hesch's wedding, and here're some other photos we have of her. As an angel for her sister Mary, and on her Solemn Communion, when she was 12.
...and in 1925, she would have been about 15.
And here, FINALLY, is the portrait taken when she married Rodney Stoneberg. They were married May 9th, 1933. (Hmm, Is that NELSONS, at the bottom, there?) Here they are, 30 years later, in 1963, at a family get-together in Sleepy Eye, Mn.
