This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

Unbelievable: The reunion we planned and couldn't WAIT for was almost 20 months ago already. August 2009. Whew!
Discussion that day was that we really should have regular reunions, like every two years. "Let's not loose touch again", we said.
Your Wonderful Reunion Planning Team from 2009 thought it was a good idea then, and we still do. However, all three of us have other things going on these days, and little extra energy to put the thing together, so.....
Anybody else want to set it up? We have the address list from last time, plus a few NEW Hesch contacts to add.
How 'bout it? It's really fun, and doesn't take that much time--you can choose the park and the day and the details. Just think of all the free advice we'd offer, too! Whaddya say?
