This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

Larry's Czech Mix--honest! ☺

A truly amazing genealogical development this week is that a previously unknown part of Larry's family history finally showed up.  Turns out his 5th great set of grands came here from BOHEMIA!  And, they were not German--his name was Franz Pasek and hers was Anna Teply. Turns out Franz accompanied the Teply family on the boat, too.

Of course we've been looking in the church books from Bohemia for both names.  They'd have to be from the same village, a place we have no idea about right now.  THIS is the fun of searching for links!

And, can you imagine?  Larry could be FAMILY!  Woohoo!

We'll keep you posted ☺
