This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

Steel Co?

Here's another pic from Shirley via her dad's trunk.
You can see dad and mom in the middle, across the table...is that Math and Eileen flanking them?  And, where was this?  What was the Steel Company?

Larry and I thought it looks like one of those 1990s time-share dinners, an 'investment opportunity you can't pass up', or maybe like the initial Amway or Shaklee get-together...shudder.
--Mom got dad into a shirt and tie even tho aunt Eileen wasn't so successful. This probably was somewhere in St Cloud, after we'd moved there in 1953 or so, wow, this may have been one of the occasions when Carol and Bev babysat for us.  Cool!
--Anyone know more about it?
