Ok, here are more photos that caught my eye from the Morrison County Atlases. I didn't note which year they appeared because these particular pics were in the "Historical photos" sections, many included in all three books (1970, 1978 and 1982). We hope they make a connection for someone, and if they do, leave a comment, ok?
(BTW, if you wonder why I'm re-writing a caption that's already there, it's because I want the names to be searchable, and search engines can't read what's part of a photo ☺ ).
The John and Helen (Hanson) Brixius Family in 1938.
I think we're related thru the Otrembas--
Brixius was a Buckman name, for sure.
Ella Fleck on her 95th Birthday. Nope, no idea who she was, but 'Fleck' is familiar and I liked the pic.
The Little Rock Creamery. On highway 25, this is the view as you're headed north toward Buckman ("Are we there YET??" "No. Five more miles, settle down!")
The Peter Markusen Family..(late 30s?)...a family that actually submitted more than one measly photo. YAY, them!
Maurice and Twilla Meyers. Did this couple have a daughter they named Twilla, too? Her name is familiar to me from more recent times....?
Joe and Gertie Novitzki and sons.
I knew these people when they were old and my son was a little guy. Gertie would comfort Josh by singing "Zeee-daa, zeee-daa, zeee-daa" to him.
They lived on the tamarack road and made the BEST sauerkraut, in a huge Redwing crock. Good memories.
Four Generations of the Pohlkamp Family (1950s?)
John and Theresa Przybilla 50th Anniversary, 1973.
I have no connection to these people, but the picture is delightful.
Howard and Lawrence Warnberg and Sophia Ellison (c 1920?)
Frank Schamal and Francis Zerie in 1938.
Clarence Peterson 1907. So, who were the kids?
The William J. Labay family-1917
I just like those faces, don't you?
