This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

There's NOTHING like (friends and) family

WOW!!
Today, son called and asked if there was anything they could do to help with the reunion, besides bringing his family for me to enjoy....lol. We settled on cold BEER, and he doesn't even drink beer.
--------------
The client who offered to make baked beans for me? She made them this week and had em, frozen and ready today. She makes GREAT beans, BTW...mmmm!
--------------
Sue wanted to help, so she's bringing her laptop and scanner so pictures can be copied at the reunion. Again I say, YAY, SUE!!
--------------
Louise calls often with encouragement and great stories, which I LOVE.
--------------
And, here's something AMAZING:
Yesterday, I thought maybe the vid would just plain NOT work out after all, but Larry said "Email the video part, and I'll add the music, burn some DVDs and mail it all overnight priority--you should have 'em Thursday or Friday"....!!

He said he wanted to do something for the actual Reunion Day, but WOW!
You might say Heschs have been to Georgia and back just so we can see 'em on Saturday...lol...and cousin Jerry's bringing his 22" monitor and laptop so we can.
--------------
My friend Mog called this afternoon. She said the older she gets, the more FAMILY means to her, and oh MAN, I agree....not only the blood-line relatives, but the heart-strings people, too.
