This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

INSIDE the Mueller Saloon

Bob says the man behind the bar is Peter Mueller, and the man at the end of the bar is John Mueller, holding Roman.  (He doesn't know who the other man and kids are).
I lightened the picture so we can see the back part of the room--looks like there were chairs around a table or tables behind a railing, and a mural on the wall?  Looks like a window behind John, there in the corner.  Note the cool cash register, the small light fixtures...and the obviously inadequate amount of spittoons...lol
