COOL! Today I heard from Tom Mueller, who sent funeral cards for his dad, Peter J. Mueller, and for his grandpa, Peter H. Mueller. The Mueller clan was every bit as bad as the Heschs with repeating (re-Pete-ing?) given names like Nick, Math, John and Peter. Customs are customs.
(Tom is stuck with a goofy sense of humor. His kids gave him an iPad, probably to occupy him. It worked).
The cards help distinguish these two from each other, at least. Peter H, born in 1878, was later one of the owners of Muellers Hardware and Saloon in Buckman. He was also the brother of Ket Mueller Hesch, (John's wife) so we've seen his
photo here on HH a
couple of times . ☺
Now here's the coolest part of what Tom sent: its a picture of his parents' wedding day (Peter J) and as a bonus, there's Peter H on the right, sadly without his mustache. (I identified all four
on the photo so no one else needs to figure out who they are).

(BTW, Tom wants us to believe that he's OTD, but if his parents were married in 1943, then the worst he can be is 5 years older than me. No more excuses for lack of punctuation, sir!)
