HESCH HISTORY: News and NEWS!

This branch of the Austrian Hesch family is descended from Johann Hesch and his wife Marya (Schlinz) Hesch, who came to America from Oberschlagles, Bohemia with three sons: Paul, Mathias, and Anton. +++Johann & Marya settled in Buffalo County, Wisconsin but moved to Pierz, Mn in about 1885. .+++Mathias settled in Waumandee, Wisconsin and moved to Pierz in 1911. +++Anton never married but farmed with his dad in Agram Township, where he died in 1911.+++And Paul, my great grandfather, settled five miles away, in Buckman, Minnesota. He died there in 1900.

News and NEWS!

Oh, wow! Larry IM'd this morning to say that the first digitized issues of the Pierz Journal are posted on Minnesota Reflections. They're from the first years, 1909-1913, and I only had a few minutes to gawk before I needed to go see an all-day client. Awww!

The other news is that the latest member of the next generation of Heschs was born early this morning to my precious daud and her husband. He's doing fine and I'll get to meet him tomorrow--ok, I'll get pics!
